Goodbye Mackie :(

That’s right, Mackie is no longer with me, lost in a few seconds of stupidity he is gone without a trace. For those who don’t know Mackie he was my black 2.0ghz macbook a faithful laptop he never gave me any trouble except occassionaly when he’d moo hystericly. Mackie was only purchased in June so that makes him 3months old.

Left in the back of a taxi on the way to Dee’s place when i stupidly assumed Dee had grabbed him out of the back seat when she left. However that wasn’t the case and before i could even realise my blunder the car sped off leaving no trace behind.

Several phone calls later and a trip to the police station, Mackie has been declared ‘lost’ and therefore his serial number taken down in the hope he might turn up and return to me.

It’s with a heavy hand that i wave goodbye to him and i hope the insurance brings me another equally as faithfull macbook which i shall name Mackie Jnr in rememberance of the machine that once was my faithful friend.

To the person who took it out of the taxi full knowing it wasn’t their own…shame on you. Goodluck trying to hock Mackie to score a hit or whatever you do, formatting him will be literally impossible without a sudo password. You don’t realise how useless this machine is to you so how about you do the right thing and hand it in to the police.
