The Society Sickens Me
It really disgust me where society are placing their values in.
People who are trying to cure sick children, or takes care of them. People who are working on finding a new cure day and night, endlessly gets paid less than celebrities, models, and others who are in the media. A celebrity gets paid millions and get free treats just for showing up at an event for 30 minutes? One could argue it is a Doctors passion to stay up late, and that whatever their pay is, they’ll still be grateful. I’m not trying to say that celebrities don’t deserve their money, surely, they worked hard to be where they are today, but are they recieving too much? Are our society placing more importance in lives of celebrities, than those who are in need of the attention?
There are people in life, who constantly try to make meaningless things meaningful. Brand names aren’t meaningful, no more than what’s happening in a life of Tom Cruise (well to Tom it is meaningful, but how does that affect YOUR life or the society?). Why is it a celebrities photos are worth millions? When artworks and other more important things are worthless to society?
…I am both disappointed, and disgusted.
